《过去的气候》(Climate of the Past,CP)是一份非盈利性国际科学期刊,致力于发表和讨论关于地球气候历史的研究文章、短通讯和评论论文。气候方案涵盖了气候变化和变率的所有时间尺度,从地质年代到上个世纪的几十年研究。主要侧重于目前和未来气候的研究不在范围之内。主要主题领域如下:根据仪器和历史数据以及海洋和陆地(包括冰)档案的代用数据重建过去的气候;开发和验证新的代用品,提高代用品数据的精确度和准确性;在所有空间尺度和时间尺度上对与过去气候变化有关的气候系统所有组成部分的过程和反馈机制进行理论和经验研究;模拟过去气候和以模式为基础解释古气候数据,以便更好地了解现在和未来气候变异性和气候变化。
