“碳管理”是一个学术性的同行评议论坛,汇集了从生物学、生态学、化学和工程学到法律、政策、经济学和社会学等不同学科的见解,以增强我们对二氧化碳和其他温室气体相互作用的理解。“碳管理”的核心目标是研究缓解气候变化的原因和影响的方案和机制。其中包括减少排放和加强从大气中清除温室气体的机制,以及用于衡量国际条约、国内政策、地方条例、环境市场、技术、工业努力和消费者选择所产生的备选办法和机制的绩效的指标。该杂志的一个主要目标是以包容和科学的方式,就与管理全球温室气体排放和影响的长期努力有关的政策执行实际工作,促进学术辩论。在不久的将来作出的决定将对全球气候和生物圈产生深远的影响。碳管理以一种可访问的格式提供研究结果,为研究、教育、管理和环境政策领域的决策提供信息。
