生物心理学发表关于心理状态和过程的生物学方面的原创科学论文。生物学方面包括心理学实验中的电生理学和生物化学评估以及心理功能的生物学诱导变化。基于生物学理论的心理学研究也很有意义。心理功能的所有方面，包括精神病理学，都是密切相关的。该杂志专注于人类受试者的工作，但如果在概念上与人类生物心理学的问题有关，可能会考虑动物受试者的工作。
